Fluid-structure interaction

We have investigated the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) using a coupled analysis that combines OpenFOAM–CalculiX and SU2–CalculiX using the coupling library, preCICE.

FSI simulation for inflatable reentry vehicle
A coupled analysis model was developed by comparing the FSI simulation and wind tunnel experiments.

FSI simulation for a thin wing at transonic or supersonic speeds
Limit cycle oscillation of a flat wing was also investigated using an FSI model comprising SU2 and CalculiX with preCICE library. Please refer to the preCICE website here.
